An accredited Critical Access hospital located in the Eastern region of Maine is currently searching for an experienced Physician Assistant Surgical Services to join their advanced healthcare team.
This full-serviced Critical Access hospital is home to over 20 licensed beds and is proud to offer exceptional primary and acute care services such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, Otolaryngology (ENT), General and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, and a fully-equipped Sleep-Lab. Since its opening over 50 years ago, this state-of-the-art Critical Access Hospital has become a vital part of the community’s healthcare initiatives by providing inpatient and outpatient clinical services.
The Physician Assistant Surgical Services will work within an advanced team of clinical professionals in the critical access perioperative department. The perioperative department consists of 3 state-of-the-art operating suites and one procedural and endoscopy room. The Physician Assistant Surgical Services will assist the General Surgeon in performing a number of clinical procedures including general laparoscopic and laparoscopic Colo-rectal, gastrointestinal endoscopy, obstetrics and laparoscopic gynecology, orthopedics and trauma orthopedic care, otolaryngology ENT, urology, pain management for chronic pain and anesthesia consultations.
The Physician Assistant Surgical Services will focus on running the clinic while overseeing pre-operative and post-operative patients. The Physician Assistant Surgical Services will be expected to meet with roughly 20-30 patients every day and should maintain concentration in a busy clinic setting. The Physician Assistant of Surgical Services will work very closely with a highly decorated General Surgeon who has been in practice for over 20 years.
