Oncology ARNP Nurse Practitioner
This trusted and valued physician practice group in Southern Oregon is actively interviewing for an ARNP Nurse Practitioner to join its Cancer Care services. You’ll discover a fulfilling position with this tenured team of oncology physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in a busy clinic environment.
Serving the hardworking (and hard-playing) communities of Southern Oregon, the Oncology Care Nurse Practitioner will be joining a community-based non-profit healthcare group with a long history of dedicated and compassionate care. Your primary clinical care will take place in a free standing clinic, where the Cancer Care ARNP will see anywhere from twelve (12) to twenty (20) patients a day. Fully owned by the providers with which it associates, this Oncology Practice is staffed by a full complement of Physicians, Registered Nurses, and Physicians Assistants.
While you’ll report to the attending physician on a per patient basis, the Cancer Care ARNP will approach this role with a high degree of autonomy in decision making. Early in your tenure, you’ll work very closely with the attending physicians on intake and assessment, treatment plan development, actual treatments, and following up. After you’re comfortable with the pace of patient care and the breadth of expectations, you’ll develop these things on your own.
Another primary facet of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) role is pre & post treatment psychological support. You’ll get to take an active role in supporting superior patient care from both a physiological and psychological point of view, throughout the continuum of care from diagnosis to survivorship. While your typical cases will involve adult populations, you can also expect to see frequent pediatric and adolescent cases because this medical group provides care to a large portion of Southern Oregon.
Home to an affordable cost of living, fantastic schools, and a tight knit community fabric, the Southern Oregon area is a great place to call home. For the Oncology / Cancer Services ARNP that enjoys the great outdoors, there’s no better place. You’ll find the rocky Pacific coast, studded with breathtaking beaches, you’ll find deep evergreen forests just waiting to be explored, and you’ll find sport that takes advantage of all this majesty. For the times you need a bit of excitement, the Portland Metro Area is just a short drive away. There, you’ll find all the sights, sounds, culture, and cuisine you’d expect from a major metro area.
The ARNP Nurse Practitioner will support and oversee the operations of a busy Clinic. You’ll provide clinical support to small, dedicated team of providers, and you’ll provide healthcare support to a vibrant coastal community. In these pursuits, you’ll be supported by a generous benefits package and competitive compensation.
