A 250-bed hospital in Northern California is seeking an Acute Care Advanced Practitioner to provide direct patient care to their Cardiovascular Surgery patients. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work closely with the supervising physician to diagnose and treat cardiovascular surgery patients.

The Cardiovascular Acute Care Advanced Practitioner will enjoy working autonomously and will have the opportunity to practice at the full extent of the current California regulations. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will utilize their experience with open heart surgery to exhibit appropriate clinical judgment. The Cardiovascular Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will act as a key stakeholder in the diagnostic process. The ability to independently perform cardiovascular treatment procedures, such as the removal of chest tubes is especially important to the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
