Nurse Practitioner Diabetes Program Services
A not for profit hospital on the beautiful California Coast, is looking for a Diabetes Nurse Educator (CDE) RN to join their team. This is a good opportunity to work in an amazing location with supportive management and staff!
The hospital is a 235+ bed hospital serving the nearby communities. They offer a wide range of services and continuum of care for all ages. The hospital has an excellent Diabetes Program and Diabetes Department, which is Certified and Accredited by The Joint Commission for Inpatient Diabetes Care. They are most interested in candidates who are very passionate about diabetes care to help make a difference for excellent patient care and the Diabetes Program.
Reporting to the Diabetes Department Directo, Diabetes Nurse Practitioner CDE will also work with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient standards are met within the department. A Master’s Degree in Nursing and relevant Nurse Practitioner Training/Certification is required, along with current CA RN license. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is also required for this role, with a strong background in diabetes management care. Although 2 years’ experience is required, a new grad with CDE and diabetes experience may be considered. Endocrine experience is a plus. This position is for inpatient and outpatient.
Responsibilities for the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Diabetic Care include complying with evidence based practice care standards and outcomes measurement. The NP Endocrine participates as a member of the Glycemic Management Team and provides patient care, performs patient assessments, and provides treatment and care solutions for patients.
