Among this hospital’s most awarded service lines is its Cardiac Care, Oncology, and Orthopedics. The Oncology Clinical Manager will take a huge role leading the inpatient care services of this recognized program that offers Oncology / Hematology Infusion, Post-Surgical Care, interventional, and non-invasive treatment of these complex conditions. Employing cutting-edge screening technologies and techniques, this 30+ bed Medical Surgical and Oncology Unit is positioned to be one of the largest and most comprehensive Cancer Programs in the Los Angeles Area.
Reporting to the Administrative Director of Inpatient Services, who oversees Inpatient Medical Surgical, Specialty Care, Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care, and Critical Care (ICU), the Clinical Nursing Manager will have an integral role in the operations of this expansive unit. Supporting the Nursing Manager are two CMSRN Charge Nurses and a ONC certified Nurse Supervisor who oversees an outstanding staff of ONS Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certified Registered Nurses. You will also get to take an important role in developing clinical education for the unit in collaboration with unit-based and hospital-practice nurse educators.
The Clinical Manager of Oncology and Medical Surgical will get to take a pivotal role in the clinical and administrative success of this large unit. You’ll work with educators and inpatient leaders to help develop and codify standards and practices that keep this Magnet-journey nursing program at the forefront of the medical field. The Clinical Med/Surg Manager will also get to serve as hospital-wide leader through optional participation in committees for employee experience, patient satisfaction, and quality improvement. Working in collaboration with leaders in finance and operations, the Manager will also get to make significant impacts on improving the operational efficiencies of this unit.
