Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
A large well-regarded hospital system in Western Pennsylvania has an excellent and rewarding opportunity for multiple NICU Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join their team of Neonatal professionals.
This system is known for providing excellent care, and is particularly well-regarding for their well-established pediatric and neonatal programs. With multiple hospitals throughout the area, as well as a large outpatient network, this system is a great place to work for long-term growth and opportunity. This position is located at one of their larger teaching hospitals that utilizes family-centered care in a beautiful setting.
This Physician Assistant NICU will work primarily in a 23-bed Level III NICU. This NICU was recently renovated and offers families private rooms and the most up-to-date technology and amenities, including digital dashboards, an abundance of natural light, comfortable accommodations for overnight family members and breastfeeding support.
The Physician Assistant NICU will work in a NICU that sees very acute patients, which includes patients born in the hospital’s own High-Risk Delivery department, as well as those transported from neighboring hospitals. The NICU uses cutting-edge technology to treat the most severely ill newborns. This NICU has a high number of referrals from within the system, as well as those hospitals further away. They offer a robust cardiac and surgical program for neonates, so many families will travel a great distance.
This position offers a generous compensation package including competitive base salary, annual reviews, relocation funds, full array of benefits, and a friendly and inspiring work environment. It also offers flexibility of scheduling, with a choice of 8, 10, 12 or 24-hour shifts. Rotating weekends/holidays will be a part of the schedule. There is also the opportunity to take shifts (for a higher pay differential) at sister-NICU’s that offer both lower and higher acuity, depending on what kind of experience you might be looking for.
