The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will report to the Director of Surgery and will provide anesthesia services to surgery patients following the directions of an Anesthesiologist. The CRNA will administer drugs and anesthetic agents and carry out life support functions. The CRNA will communicate with surgeons and the surgery team to decide best course of care for patients.
The CRNA will ideally have experience in a hospital setting. Personality and effective communication are important to sooth and support family members and patients. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will prepare the OR using septic techniques and deliver conscious sedation and psychological support to the patient as needed.
