A Magnet designated hospital located in Northwest Indiana is currently searching for an experienced Nurse Manager of Oncology to join their award-winning healthcare organization.
This hospital is home to just over 600 licensed beds and has recently remodeled many areas throughout the hospital including the Emergency, Trauma, and Critical Care departments. The Nurse Manager of Oncology will become a vital member of this multi-system healthcare organization that proudly services many communities throughout the Northern region of Illinois and Indiana. The Nurse Manager of Oncology will join a Cancer Program that has been fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons for over the last 50 years. This oncology service line works in association with a regional University that provides access to the latest clinical trials and cancer research. The Nurse Manager of Oncology will lead a team of Oncology-Certified Registered Nurse’s that provide comprehensive cancer care to patients dealing with a number of different forms of cancer. This oncology service line also provides various rehabilitation services such as Lymphedema, Ostomy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Incontinence Program Services to ensure adequate patient recovery.
The Nurse Manager of Oncology will be responsible for the daily clinical and administrative functions of the inpatient oncology service line. The Nurse Manager of Oncology will require a strong focus on interdepartmental quality, patient satisfaction, and fiscal responsibility. The Nurse Manager of Oncology will be expected to work as an independent leader within the oncology service line and will report to the unit Nursing Director.
