Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner NP
An exciting opportunity is available for a Comprehensive Cancer Center Nurse Practitioner NP in Southern California.
The Comprehensive Cancer Center Nurse Practitioner NP will manage a large oncology program, and will play a crucial role in the lives of all the patients. The Cancer Center Nurse Practitioner will be part of a dedicated team providing a consistent and holistic approach in the patients continuum of care.
The Comprehensive Cancer Center Nurse Practitioner NP will report to the medical director and collaborate with a team of 15 other Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Coordinators, Nursing Staff, and Social Workers will support the department. The Comprehensive Cancer Center Nurse Practitioner NP will evaluate the physical and psychological state of the Patient, and will provide support to patients by participating in-patient and family teaching counseling and support.
The Cancer Center NP will provide provide primary, secondary, and in some cases, tertiary care within scope of practice, license and organizational policies with emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention and patient education, combining the qualities of both nursing and medicine.
Candidates must have at least two years or more of Nurse Practitioner experience in Hematology AND Bone Marrow Transplant. Board Certified NPs with current California RN, NP, NP Furnishing, DEA, MSN and BLS are encouraged to apply.
